FLOWN Menu From 1st Manned Skylab

With the 40th anniversary of Skylab, Farthest Reaches is pleased to offer artifacts for sale from the personal collection of Astronaut Edward Gibson.  Ed flew on the Skylab III manned mission in 1973 and was the co-holder of the space endurance record for 18 years. Having joined the program in 1965, Ed has been able to acquire a number of space related mementos spanning all of his NASA years.  To that end, he has entrusted Farthest Reaches to make available to collectors worldwide, selected items from his collection that will be posted below as they become available.  We invite you to stop back from time to time as you just never know what unique treasures may suddenly appear.
Gordon Cooper's NASA Gemini 5 Flight Jacket
Gordon Cooper's NASA Gemini 5 Flight Jacket

Offered here is Gordon Cooper's Gemini 5 NASA Flight Jacket.  This is NOT a reproduction but rather his actual owned and worn NASA flight jacket.  As you can see it has affixed the infamous Gemini 8 Days or Bust patch, one of the rarest of all patches due to the very small number that were produced in this state.  It should be noted that an authentic patch like the one on this jacket recently sold for almost $3000 alone.  On the left side is the NASA Meatball emblem.  This is a Flite Wear jacket made by Land Mfg. Co. of Kansas and is in excellent condition.
