Presentation from STS-1 Flight Crew to Flight Controller Alan Glines
hand signed by John Young and Bob Crippen

This impressive set of photos has been professionally framed and shadow boxed.  It was given to Flight Controler Alan Glines for his contribution to the success of STS-1.  As you can see, it is perfectly inscribed to Alan by the flight crew of John Young and Bob Crippen.  An unquestionably authentic mememto from the crew of the historic first flight of Columbia.  Measures  21" x 25" and just doesn't get any better!!

Coke in Space

This is one of the original Coke Space Cans (full) produced by Coca Cola to be tested in space on STS-51F.  Only 6 cans were flown and the rest were distributed to VIPs at Coke and NASA and a balance sent to museums.  This can is numbered 23 out of 100 on the bottom.  The dispenser lever on the can is made from Teflon and stainless steel.  It is equipped with a trigger lock to prevent accidental discharge.

Fit Check Tile produced for Space Shuttle Challenger

Fit check tiles such as the example offered here were used to fit check the shape of the actual thermal protection tiles covering the exterior of the Shuttle during flight.  This particular tile was produced for use by OV-099, also known as "Challenger".  The identifying numbers on the tile itself tell the story.  By the markings we can see it was dated 9/24/84 which may indicate it was intended to prepare Challenger for the launch of STS-41G on 10/5/84.  This tile is in excellent condition and measures 8.25" (L)x 5.75" (H) x 2.5" (D).  As you can see in the image provided it is curved on one side.  A very nice specimen from the ill fated Orbiter, Challenger...!

The seeds in these packets were flown into space onboard Challenger on April 6, 1984 and returned by Columbia on January 20, 1990.  This was a part of an experiment for students as is well documented.  A very inexpensive way to add something that spent almost 6 years in space to your collection!
