NEW Flown Top EVA Handrail from Command Module Charlie Brown NEW

Offered here is a seldom seen, fully intact and easily identifiable FLOWN space craft part from the lunar voyage of Apollo 10. This hand rail was attached to the outside of the Command Module Charlie Brown and was exposed to the harshness of open space throughout it's voyage between the earth and the moon.
It measures nearly 15" long and is still covered in it's remaining
Kapton foil as it was when removed from the command module Charlie
Brown (CM-106) post flight. A small black NASA stamp can be
seen on the handle itself upon close inspection. A copy of the
actual NASA scrap tag showing that this comes from S/C 106 is
included. This is the first time
I've had an EVA handrail to offer and given it's great rarity,
consider it an artifact of major importance.

This sterling silver Apollo 10 Robbins Medallion was FLOWN to the moon on that mission and comes from the personal collection of it's original owner, Colonel Frank Brandstetter. It is #172/300. Brandstetter is a man of many accomplishments and as such, was highly respected and admired by his many well known personal friends that included our own astronaut heroes. His 1999 biography, "Brandy, Our Man In Acapulco" by Rodney Carlisle & Dominic Monetta (UNT Press, Texas, 1999) tells his amazing story and details his exceptionally strong connection to America's manned space program and many of it's astronauts and other key players. Included above (with permission) is a view of that book's rear dust jacket with a portion of the "Forward" by Astronaut James Lovell, contained therein. The Robbins Medallion being offered here was presented to Colonel Brandstetter by the Apollo 10 flight crew and from that time until being offered for sale through Farthest Reaches, has been maintained in his personal collection of space memorabilia. This medallion was proudly displayed for many years in Brandstetter's Space Museum at Casa de la Tranquilidad, Mexico. Please note some tape residue on reverse from it's museum identification tag, that can be removed at buyers discretion. Following his retirement, President Lyndon Johnson, while visiting Brandy's Acapulco home, toured his amazing space museum and was quoted as saying (laughingly), "Damn you, Colonel, you've got more of this stuff than I do, and I'm the one who signed the appropriation bills for the space program!". He asked that a photo be taken to commemorate his visit and it is included above. This anecdote, along with a more detailed accounting of Brandstetter's space program connection is covered in his biography. In the last year or so, as more collectors have discovered Robbins Medallions, the market prices of these FLOWN gems have risen dramatically. They are highly sought after by serious collectors seeking unquestionably authentic, flown to the moon artifacts. To that end, this FLOWN Apollo 10 Robbins Medallion comes with outstanding provenance. It will be accompanied by a letter detailing it's history of ownership, hand signed by Colonel Brandstetter himself on his personal stationary. Also included will be a copy of his biography, "Brandy, Our Man in Acapulco" that in addition to being fascinating reading, lends additional provenance to this FLOWN piece of space program history. Offered here is an official Buzz Lightyear Action Figure. He's fully functional in every way, just as manufactured. He speaks several phrases with the push of a button, he shoots his laser and his "wings" open and close. The original "Try Me" tag still dangles from his wrist though the box is nowhere to be found. Making this a bit more desirable however is that this action figure has been hand signed not once but TWICE by Buzz Aldrin. The signatures can be seen in the attached images. Buzz Lightyear stands 12" tall and though I'm not an action figure expert, note the manufacture's stamp indicating it was produced in 2001 and is in awesome "as new" condition. It does not have an original box but what it does have, is that it's been hand signed by Buzz Aldrin, not just once but TWICE as you can see in the attached images! This is a way cool associational item and would make a great gift for your kids, but come on now....we know who it's really for don't we? A great conversation piece!

This is a faithful replica of the actual Apollo Lunar Landing Plaque mounted on a beautiful wood base suitable for hanging. The 2005 International Lunar Conference (ILC 2005) on the Exploration and Utilization of the Moon was held on September 18th - 23rd, 2005 in Toronto, Canada. Buzz Aldrin, who was a guest speaker, received their "Earth-Moon Achievement" award that year. This was the 7th International conference held under the auspices of the International Lunar Exploration Working Group and was attended by scientists and space industry professional from around the world. Each attendee received a beautiful leather portfolio case, embossed with the conference name and logo. Offered here is the case belonging to Buzz Aldrin who has also hand signed it's exterior in bold silver paint pen. It measures 12.5" x 10.5" and is in excellent condition. This is a very nice associational item from the astronaut's own personal collection and at a most affordable price at that!!. Would make a great gift item for the holidays....

This is a 9.5" concentric device with 3 circular data wheels on heavy paper. The user may move the wheels to cross reference mission events and times in both mission elapsed and earth days of the week. The reverse side has additional flight events and a glossary. Apollo equipment made by this contractor is also illustrated. Produced by Raytheon Equipment Division, 1969. Very nice and hardly ever seen. One just like this except for being hand signed by Buzz Aldrin sold at the Swann 2006 Auction for $460 (with buyers premium). These wheels are seldom seen and in fact, in seven years this is the first I've handled.

Apollo 11 Film - Used ON the Lunar Surface !!

Affixed to this 8.5" x 11" presentation certificate is a piece of film (approximately 1/2" x 3/8") FLOWN into lunar orbit onboard Columbia, landing on the Moon onboard Eagle and used ON the lunar surface as a part of a film roll that captured 107 photographs shot by Aldrin and Armstrong. The certificate is hand signed by Richard W. Underwood who was the Supervisory Aerospace Technologist at that Johnson Spacecraft Center in Houston. A wonderful and most affordable lunar SURFACE used artifact. Could be easily framed or stored in a sleeve "as is". Very unusual.

This is the Apollo Program Office Splashdown Party program for the gala held at the Shoreham Hotel, in Washington, DC on September 9, 1969. It's the first of it's kind I've offered and in fact, the first that I've seen. This comes from the personal archives of Charles Matthews, Project Gemini Program Manager. It is hand signed by a number of that evening's attendees. The signatures are as follows:

Man on the Moon" stamp canceled Washington, DC on September 9, 1969
(date of this event) AND July 20, 1969 (date of moon landing).

This 30th Anniversary mug was issued by NASA specifically for Apollo Flight Controller Alan Glines. It was given in recognition of his role toward the success of that mission and stands over 6 inches tall. When it comes to Pete Conrad imagery,
this is one I'm asked about most often. In this case we are
offering the larger (16" x 20") version and best of all is
professionally framed with a mission patch built neatly into the
display. Overall measurements are 23" x 27". Pete signs
in gold and adds his mission information. Pardon the scan
which is a tad light on my monitor, due to glare from the Plexiglas
that could not be avoided. The image is even nicer that the
scan would indicate. Beautiful signature and ready to hang...

Framed presentation of brushes
actually used by Astronaut Alan Bean to paint several of his
paintings. These brushes are hand signed on their shaft by
Bean himself. His brushes are retired from service when the
brush head becomes either worn from use, too distorted for accurate
painting, or when the fibers become filled up with dried hardened
paint and are rendered unusable.
The presentation have been professionally shadow box framed and includes a image of Bean on the moon, a mission patch and an engraved plaque (see image to left). Overall dimensions are 20" x 24.5. Comes with a COA. #A12-15* |

When it comes to coins and medallions
that have been flown to the Moon, Robbins Medallions are considered
the most desirable of all. Offered here is a sterling silver
Apollo 12 Robbins Medallion (#49/262). Making this even more
desirable is that it is one of only 82 medallions from this minting
that were struck from silver recovered from a Spanish treasure ship
that sank off the coast near Cape Canaveral in 1715. Please note as
seen in scan, some of it's black accented finish has been removed,
possibly through cleaning.

Offered here is a faithful reproduction of the actual flown Apollo 12 Launch Operations Checklist used by that mission's Command Module Pilot, Richard Gordon. This replica is a result of Gordon family's desire to make available to other Gordon family members and a limited number of collectors, copies of some of Dick's original flown artifacts. This Limited Edition of 50 Launch Operation Checklists has been faithfully replicated including the paper stock, graphics, binder rings and even the detail of the pink paper stock denoting in the original's, chapters for abort procedures. The tabs are also hand made and reinforced giving this work of art a look and feel that's virtually indistinguishable from the original. Only minor differences exist given changes in technology and printing techniques since the first checklists were produced by NASA, dating back as early as the 1960's. Much of the work on the original checklists was done by hand and similarly, much hand work and care have gone into the production of this replica. Many of the pages contain annotations by crew members, most of them technical, but some lighthearted entries that call to mind that fact that is was human beings who were performing extraordinary technical maneuvers, yet having the time of their lives, as good friends should. Also of great importance is that the artist behind this reproduction is Linda Gordon (Dick's wife) who is an accomplished artist. This checklist comes with a beautifully produced COA hand signed by Linda. In addition, this front of this checklist has been hand signed by Richard Gordon who inscribes, "Replica of the original Launch Operations Checklist flown on Apollo XII, 11/14/69...Richard Gordon" This particular checklist is the Artist's Proof #1. It measures 8" x 6" and is approximately 103 pages.

Offered here is one of the stamp blocks authentically hand signed by Jack Swigert while under contract with German stamp dealer Sieger. Swigert having initially denied to Deke Slayton that he had signed these stamp blocks for commercial purposes was what caused him to be removed from the ASTP prime crew. This cover with Apollo 13 mission cachet is cancelled at KSC on April 11, 1970 (launch day). It is hand signed in black ballpoint by Fred Haise. Making this cover even more desirable is that along with it, comes an index card from George Skurla (typed) but hand signed, "George". His note is offering someone named "Marie", a memento of the Apollo 13 LM-7 launch. For those of you who may not know, Skurla was the Director of Operations at the Kennedy Space Center. He was responsible for overseeing the production of the Lunar Module's for the Apollo Program. In June 1973, he oversaw operations for the design and production of the F-14 Tomcat and A-6 Intruder aircraft. He was elected president of Grumman Corporation in 1985 and retired the next year after 42 years with Grumman Corporation. #FH-Apollo 13 Mission Cachet |

Apollo 13 - Ink from Fisher Space Pen - Flown to the Moon

The 8.5" x 11 presentation certificate tells the story of Apollo 13 and the flown Fisher Space Pen that was flown on that ill fated mission. That Fisher Pen was subsequently presented to "Jim Richards" (read certificate) and was itself used by Ken Havekotte of Space Coast Cover Service to hand sign the presentation offered here. Also included is a LOA from Farthest Reaches Inc. further attesting to the authenticity of this item. These certificates were originally provided as incentives to individuals purchasing Gold Passes to the Sims/Hankow KSC Autograph Show in June, 2007. Remaining supply is very limited.
